The Seal of Satisfaction is an exclusive award. Wilkins Research Services, LLC, conducts the nomination process with Chattanooga area consumers, and then reviews each candidate. The Allergy Asthma Group thanks all of our outstanding patients for this recognition.
Thank you Chattanooga and North Georgia for voting TAAG as the Best of the Best!
Allergy Shots
In keeping with our commitment to provide the safest, most effective care possible, we have evaluated multiple devices designed to minimize discomfort commonly associated with allergy injections.
Some of the devices we tested presented safety issues and were not consistently effective. However, we found Buzzy® to be very successful in minimizing, and often eliminating, the pain caused by needles.
Buzzy® resembles a bumblebee and was developed by a pediatrician. A set of frozen “wings” is attached to Buzzy® just prior to use. When Buzzy® is placed above the injection site and activated, the combination of the cold “wings” and the vibrations serve to numb the skin and therefore take the “sting” out of shots! Buzzy® is particularly useful for our patients who have “needle phobia.”
