A Little About Me

Born in Chattanooga and raised in Crossville, Tennessee, Dr. Atchley has strong connections to the local area and considers family ties an essential part of his life. After dedicating nine years of active-duty service as a physician in the United States Air Force, he made the decision, alongside his family, to settle in Chattanooga.

Dr. Atchley's journey into medicine was initially inspired by a desire to become a veterinarian. However, his hands-on education in Animal Science at the University of Tennessee Agricultural Campus led him to redirect his focus towards directly helping people instead of their animals. This decision paved the way for his specialization in Allergy and Immunology, driven by the opportunity to improve his patients' quality of life. Dr. Atchley takes great joy in witnessing the positive impact of his medical plans, particularly when it comes to prescribing immunotherapy for allergies and enhancing asthma symptom management.

The aspect of his job that Dr. Atchley loves most is the ability to make children feel better by effectively controlling their asthma and allergy symptoms, contributing to their overall well-being. When not immersed in his medical practice, Dr. Atchley treasures spending quality time with his family. Outdoor recreation, such as mountain biking, hiking, and camping, ranks high on their list of hobbies and interests. They also delight in exploring new restaurants and indulging in a wide array of culinary experiences.
