Robert E. Younger III, MD, is the founder of The Allergy & Asthma Group. He began the practice in 1985. He received his undergraduate degree in microbiology and immunology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and attended medical school at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.
Michael C. Hollie, MD, received his undergraduate degree from the College of Idaho. Dr. Hollie attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California, and received his medical degree in 1985.
Curt Chaffin, MD, received his undergraduate degree from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee. Dr. Chaffin attended the University Of Tennessee College Of Medicine in Memphis and received his medical degree in 1997.
Linda J. Kim, MD, received her undergraduate degree from the University of California San Diego. Dr. Kim attended Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, and received her medical degree in 2002.
Born in Chattanooga and raised in Crossville, Tennessee, Dr. Atchley has strong connections to the local area and considers family ties an essential part of his life. After dedicating nine years of active-duty service as a physician in the United States Air Force, he made the decision, alongside his family, to settle in Chattanooga.
Darla R. Erhard, MSN, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner who joined The Allergy & Asthma Group in May 2001. Mrs. Erhard earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Michele Pierce, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner who joined The Allergy Asthma Group in 2022. Michele has two bachelor’s degrees. One was in Exercise Science from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and the second degree was in Nursing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Caroline Gawthrop is a family nurse practitioner at The Allergy and Asthma Group of Galen. She grew up in the Greater Chattanooga area and graduated high school from Chattanooga Christian School. She attended the University of Georgia for undergrad, the Medical College of Georgia for nursing school, and then Samford University for Nurse Practitioner school.
Katelyn (Katie) Anderson, MSN, FNP-BC is from Cleveland, Tennessee, and attended Walker Valley High School. She graduated from Lincoln Memorial University with her BSN and from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with her MSN FP.
Karlie Mullins, BSN, FNP, is a certified family nurse practitioner. She is originally from Northern California but has called Tennessee home for 9 years. Karlie attended Azusa Pacific University in Southern California for her BSN and practiced for 6 years while completing her master’s in nursing. Karlie has been practicing as a nurse practitioner for 3 years.
