A Little About Me

Caroline Gawthrop is a family nurse practitioner at The Allergy and Asthma Group of Galen. She grew up in the Greater Chattanooga area and graduated high school from Chattanooga Christian School. She attended the University of Georgia for undergrad, the Medical College of Georgia for nursing school, and then Samford University for Nurse Practitioner school.

Caroline decided to pursue medicine because she enjoys helping others and wants them to understand their health and own it. She chose a specialty in family medicine to have the opportunity to treat a wide variety of patients of different ages with different conditions. Outside of work, Caroline enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two small children.
